Heat Pump Installation

Solarstream heat pumps are the preferred choice when:

  • Your roof is not facing north
  • Your roof is not designed to handle the huge additional weight of a tank (approaching half a tonne when filled with water).
  • You live in areas prone to torrential rain, hail or high winds where glass panels and tubes are easily damaged.
  • Your building has a heritage status with strict restrictions
  • You simply want the most economical and reliable hot water solution available

Solarstream’s efficient design of a split heat pump and hot water cylinder system allows for flexibility and ease of installation around the perimeter of your home or building.

Cylinder – Your cylinder can be installed either indoors in a cupboard or room, or outdoors depending on your needs.

Heat pump – The heat pump unit is installed outside and can be conveniently located up to nine metres distance from the cylinder. (Note: all units come with 2 metres standard pre-charged connecting lines. An extension kit is available where required).

Installation must be performed by a qualified plumber in accordance with Australian & NZ standards along with all relevant and specific Codes of Practice.

The heat pump, refrigeration lines and fittings come fully pre-charged with refrigerant for quick and easy installation.
