Blown away by the savings

I have received the first full quarter electricity bill after installing a Siddons Solarstream.
Last year for this quarter we used 1073 kWH of power on our off peak power, tariff 31.
The same quarter this year only 233 kWH, there are no changes in our lifestyle or water usage.
Needless to say we are blown away by the savings.
Our Solarstream works fine on the Qld tariff 31 only running for a couple of hours each day.
We were told that heat pumps needed to be on the more expensive tariff 33. Not true with the Solarstream!!

Heat pumps win over solar panels in sunny Queensland

Even though we get lots of sunshine up here and our nights rarely get down to zero, we decided on a heat pump water heater rather than solar panels because the heat pumps seemed more efficient and less expensive, and a lot easier to install. It only took our plumber 4 hrs to swap over our systems and get our Siddons up and running. We have put the tank inside our laundry area and the outdoor unit sits outside round the back, so that even when it runs at night we can't hear it.

We think we made the right decision to go with a Siddons heat pump and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone contemplating the same choice between solar panels or a heat pump system.

Customer service saves the day in SA

We needed an emergency replacement of our hot water system as ours died overnight. The people at Siddons were so helpful, giving me all the information I needed and organising delivery the next day for me. In the end, we were only without hot water for 2 days.

I had already spoken to 3 other companies that morning, but nobody really wanted to go out of their way to help until I spoke to Siddons. For customer service, definitely go to Siddons. And we are really happy with the hot water system too.

The Solarstream has performed perfectly. In both hot and cold weather it has produced all the hot water we need and we have never run out.

We have achieved a noticeable saving in electrical power consumption.… compared to usage with the old twin-element electric unit that we ran constantly on 'boost'.

Facts well researched in WA

I recently had to change over my old electric hot water system because it had reached the end of its life and after doing alot of research decided on a Siddons. The fact that it can be run off-peak and can run at such a wide temperature range were really the deciding factors for me. So far we have had it installed for 6 months and we never have to think about our hot water anymore. It’s just there whenever we need it. I don’t think you can ask for more than that from your hot water system.
